Jim has the key attributes to lead Rondout Savings Bank to new levels of success. Recently appointed President and Chief Executive Officer, he was a member of the senior management team since joining the bank in 2001, most recently as Vice President of Commercial Banking. He previously held positions in commercial banking management elsewhere in Kingston and in North Carolina.
A native of Marbletown, Jim graduated from Rondout Valley High School and went on to earn his bachelor’s degree from St. Lawrence University and his master’s degree in business administration from Wake Forest. He also graduated with honors in 2006 from the National School of Banking at Fairfield University in Connecticut.
Jim is highly visible in the community, currently serving on the Board of the Ulster County Development Corporation and the Executive Committee of the Rip Van Winkle Council of the Boy Scouts of America. He’s a past President of the Kingston Hospital Foundation and was the 2007 honoree at the hospital’s Tulip Ball.
As Rondout celebrates its 140th year, Jim and his management team are poised to lead the bank to new levels of service and achievement.
A Certified Public Accountant with an extensive background in financial institutions and public accounting, Ron holds the key position of Senior Vice President, Chief Financial Officer & Chief Operating Officer of Rondout Savings Bank, where he assures our financial integrity through sound money management practices.
Prior to joining our management team, he served as Vice President of Finance and Controller of another local financial institution for ten years, following four years as Internal Audit Manager. Earlier, he spent six years in public accounting specializing in financial institution audits and corporate taxes.
Ron currently shares his financial expertise with the community on the boards of the United Way of Kingston, Kingston YMCA and the Children’s Home of Kingston, where he served for two years as Board President. He has also been President of an investment club for seven years and is Secretary/Treasurer of a local bowling league.
In addition to his CPA designation, Ron holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Siena College, is a graduate and past Co-Chair of the Ulster County Chamber of Commerce Leadership Institute and is currently enrolled in the American Community Bankers banking program. His professional affiliations include the American Institute of Certified Accountants, New York State Society of Certified Accountants and National Association of Management Accountants.
Years of experience in local banking have honed Cheryl’s skills in meeting the needs of local businesses and individuals. As Vice President of Business Banking
and Branch Administration, she is committed to providing the best service at the best price consistent with sound fiscal principles. She has been an integral part of Rondout’s Business Banking Department for the past seven years and prior to that held leadership positions at other area institutions.
Cheryl’s leadership skills have been recognized in the greater community, as well, where she serves on the boards of the Gateway Foundation, Benedictine Hospital Foundation and the Ulster County Chamber of Commerce, the latter as Vice Chair. She also chairs Benedictine’s Nominating Committee and is a member and past Treasurer of the Lions Club, and past President of Gateway Community Industries.
In recognition of her community commitment and professional achievements, Cheryl was an honoree in the YWCA Tribute to Women and was named Volunteer of the Decade by Gateway Community Industries.

Scott has a following of happy homeowners throughout the Hudson Valley who credit their positive home buying experience to his expertise and guidance. Prior to joining Rondout Savings Bank as Vice President of Lending & Credit Administration, he served the local mortgage market for over 15 years at several area institutions, where he earned a reputation for exceptional customer service and effective collaboration with business associates and professional colleagues.
Scott’s accomplishments have earned local and national recognition. Since 2001 he has ranked in the top 1% nationwide for new loan origination, and he was among the top 200 producers in the U.S. last year. In recognition of his achievements, he was profiled in August 2007 as Superstar of the Month in a feature article in Mortgage Originator magazine. He was also a 2007 honoree in the 40 Under 40 awards program to recognize rising stars in the Hudson Valley business community.
Scott holds degrees in business administration, travel and tourism, and is a graduate of the Chamber of Commerce Leadership Training program.
