James F. Davenport President & CEO
Jim has the key attributes to lead Rondout Savings Bank to new levels of success. Appointed President and Chief Executive Officer in 2007, he has been a member of the senior management team since joining the bank in 2001, as Vice President of Commercial Banking. He previously held positions in commercial banking management elsewhere in Kingston and in North Carolina.
A native of Marbletown, Jim graduated from Rondout Valley High School and went on to earn his bachelor’s degree from St. Lawrence University and his master’s degree in business administration from Wake Forest University. He also graduated with honors in 2006 from the National School of Banking at Fairfield University in Connecticut.
Jim is highly visible in the community, currently serving on the board of the Community Foundation of The Hudson Valley and the Executive Committee of the Rip Van Winkle Council of the Boy Scouts of America. He’s a past President of the Kingston Hospital Foundation and was the 2007 honoree at the hospital’s Tulip Ball.
As Rondout celebrates its 149th year, Jim and his management team are poised to lead the bank to new levels of service and achievement.
Cheryl D. Bowers Chief Operating Officer
More than 25 years of experience in local banking have honed Cheryl’s skills in meeting the needs of local businesses and individuals. As Chief Operating Officer, she is committed to providing the best service at the best price consistent with sound fiscal principles. She has been an integral part of Rondout’s Executive Leadership Team since 2008 after joining the bank in 2001 as a founding Business Banking Department Team member. Prior to joining Rondout Savings Bank, Cheryl held various leadership positions at other area financial institutions.
Cheryl’s leadership skills and volunteerism have been recognized in the greater community as well, where she is Past Board Chair of the Ulster County Chamber of Commerce, and she serves on the boards of The State University of New York at Ulster Foundation, The Kingston Boys and Girls Club, the Kingston Lions Club, and Vassar Brothers Medical Center.
In recognition of her community commitment and professional achievements, Cheryl is a past honoree of the YWCA Tribute to Women and was named Volunteer of the Decade by Gateway Community Industries. In June of 2014 she was named Lion of The Year for her lon g-standing membership and volunteerism with the Kingston Lions Club. I March 2016, Cheryl was recognized as the Honorary Irish person of the year by the Ulster Co. Regional Chamber of Commerce. She is a high honors graduate from the American Bankers Association Stonier Graduate School of Banking at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, PA and attended Wharton Business School where she earned her Leadership Certificate. Cheryl is an active participant with the New York Bankers Association where she has served as a committee member and speaker at the Annual Women’s Leadership Conference.

Charles Cullen Chief Financial Officer
With a 27 year background in accounting, 24 of it spent directly in the banking industry, Charles brings a wealth of experience to the position of Chief Financial Officer at Rondout Savings Bank. As Chief Financial Officer, he is responsible for managing the accounting, investment and information systems. Among other things, Charles is responsible for creating the bank’s operating budget and business plan and setting targets for its growth.
Charles’ path to the Chief Financial Officer’s seat began when he was 18 years old, working in the supplies department at the former Mid-Hudson Savings Bank. From there Charles went on to graduate in 1990 from SUNY New Paltz with a degree in Business/Accounting. The Poughkeepsie native went to New York City, where he worked for the United Bank of Kuwait for three years. Executive positions at Rhinebeck Savings, a CPA firm here in New York and at Putnam County Savings followed.
Charles’ recent addition to Rondout Savings Bank was in part brought on by his attraction to Rondout Savings Bank’s commitment to the Ulster County community and the ways in which it lent assistance to so many local groups and community-supported agencies. Mr. Cullen lives in Hyde Park with his wife, Karyn and three children.
Ann Swenson Chief Risk Officer
As part of the Senior Management Team, Ann is responsible for overseeing internal audit, compliance, Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), and commercial loan review.
Rondout Savings Bank President & CEO Jim Davenport stated that Ann has been instrumental in the bank developing an exceptional reputation in the industry.
Swenson holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Marist College. Ann has 23 years of experience in the banking industry, and joined Rondout Savings Bank in 2006 as their Internal Auditor. She was promoted shortly thereafter to Assistant Vice President of Audit, and then Assistant Vice President of Risk Management. Ann is a graduate of the National School of Banking, and is a Certified Community Bank Compliance Officer (CCBCO).
As an active member of the community that Rondout Savings Bank serves, Ann sits on the Board of United Way of Ulster County. The Board oversees the many community programs and partnerships that the United Way provides by targeting funds to high quality, local programs and services that meet identified community needs.
Ann lives in Dutchess County with her husband and sons.
Marjorie S. Rovereto Chief Lending Officer
Ms. Rovereto is an accomplished senior executive and community leader with more than 32 years of banking experience. Over the course of her career, Ms. Rovereto has served as both President and Chief Executive Officer for both Ulster Savings Bank, headquartered in Kingston, NY and Hometown Bank of the Hudson Valley, headquartered in Walden, NY. As Chief Lending Officer, she will apply her depth of experience to further enhance the current residential and commercial lending programs offered by Rondout Savings Bank throughout Ulster and Dutchess Counties.

Ms. Rovereto, a Kingston resident, currently serves as an active board member of Center for Spectrum Services, the New York State Bankers Service Corp. Profit Solutions Board and the Ulster County Ethics Board. She earned her bachelor’s degree in finance and management from SUNY Albany. She is also a graduate of the National School of Finance and Management at Fairfield University.
Michael Kinsch Senior Residential Loan Originator

Terri Ferris AVP, Retail Area Manager
Terri joined Rondout Savings Bank in December 2014, bringing 27 years of banking experience with her. Terri has been hired as Assistant Vice President / Retail Area Manager. In this position Ferris will be overseeing and assisting the Branch Management Team in achieving daily sales and service responsibilities.
President and CEO Jim Davenport, is very pleased the bank has added Terri Ferris to its relationship minded management team. “Terri is a banker with local community knowledge and roots, while being well-versed in the latest technological developments positively impacting banking services,” Davenport said.
Terri’s years of experience in the banking industry are matched by a strong commitment to community service. As a resident of Dutchess County, she has served on many chamber boards, not-for-profit committees, and Rotary Clubs. In addition to serving on many boards, Terri has been a volunteer for the American Cancer Society, American Heart Association, Juvenile Diabetes, and Womens Leadership Alliance.
Liz Moeller Senior Residential Loan Originator
My goal is to make a complex process easy, and to provide my customers with information that is presented clearly, so they can make informed decisions about their mortgage loan. I am a long-time resident of the Hudson Valley, and currently live with my family in Saugerties, NY. I began my banking career over 25 years ago as a Mortgage Loan Underwriter, working at both community and regional banks before joining Rondout Savings Bank as a Senior Residential Loan Originator. My decision to join Rondout Savings came from a belief that a community bank is best able to serve the needs of my customers. We work with local attorneys to ensure that the mortgage experience is both friendly and professional. Our underwriting and loan approvals are done locally, allowing closings to happen quickly.
I am proud to be part of the team at Rondout Savings bank, and to help support Rondout’s “Dividends to the Community” program, which donates 10% of the bank’s profits each year to the communities we serve.
Stephen Orefice Residential Loan Originator
Stephen Orefice joined Rondout Savings Bank in June of 2017. He brings six years of sales and marketing experience to the Rondout team. He prides himself on relationship building and delivering superior client service. He works tirelessly with his clients and brings together any number of resources to help them achieve their home ownership dream. He is passionate about networking with peers and colleagues and being deeply involved in his community.
Stephen stays active in many networking, civic and not-for-profit organizations; some organizations he is affiliated with are: Business Networking International (BNI), Lagrange-Sunrise Rotary, United Way, Dutchess County Association of Realtors, Mid-Hudson Mortgage Bankers Associations, Angel of Light and coaching youth baseball.
Stephen attended Roy C Ketcham High School, and is a graduate of LIU Post. He currently resides in Wappingers Falls, New York.

Bill Gerlach AVP Business Banking & Business Development
Bill has 14 years’ experience in banking in leadership roles, previously with other institutions in commercial lending. He looks forward to getting to know new clients and to be able to work with former clients. Bill says he is “eager to help Rondout Savings Bank grow and prosper by helping my clients grow and prosper. Working with Rondout gives me the opportunity to get involved with the community through a bank that has strong community values.
Bill, a business graduate of Marist College, lives in Claverack, in Columbia County, with his wife Mary. He serves as a board member for the Columbia County IDA, the Salvation Army, and Home for the Aged.
Alicia Punkosdy AVP Business Banking & Business Development
Alicia brings 26 years of banking experience with her to Rondout Savings Bank, having worked for other institutions. Alicia resides in Hyde Park, where she was born and raised. She graduated from Roosevelt High School and went on to graduate from the State University of New York at New Paltz. When asked what brought her to Rondout, Alicia said “Rondout is a community bank with strong community ties; It brings me back to my Dutchess County Roots.”
In her new role as Assistant Vice President, Business Banking Officer, Alicia is looking forward to expanding commercial relationships and getting to know Dutchess County business owners. Alicia is involved with several small not-for-profit organizations in the community, is a member of the Dutchess County Regional Chamber of Commerce, Hyde Park Chamber, Rhinebeck Chamber, and formerly a board member of Vassar Warner Home.
Jennifer Fabiano Marketing & Sales Officer / Merchant Services Program Director
Jennifer was a graduate of Rondout Valley Central H.S and the University at Albany with a bachelor’s degree in Communications as well as Business. Jennifer’s primary work focus is in business development and overseeing the merchant services program for Rondout Savings Bank. Jennifer currently serves as a member of Junior League of Kingston and is an active member of the Ulster County Regional Chamber of Commerce and The Town of Esopus Business Alliance. She has been in banking for 4 years. Jennifer is a graduate of the Ulster leadership Institution program through the Ulster County Regional Chamber of Commerce.
Jennifer resides in Kingston with her husband and two daughters and feels it is imperative to be an active participant in our community because participation will help our community thrive. Jennifer strongly feels to ensure she has her clients’ trust and loyalty, she must be accountable and put her clients’ needs first.
