Rondout Savings Bank Sponsors Woodstock Playhouse Production “Pippin”

May 26, 2016

With the support of sponsors like Rondout Savings Bank, “Pippin” the musical comes to the stage of the iconic Woodstock Playhouse featuring the Woodstock Playhouse Summer Theatre Cast 2016 each weekend from August 5 through August 21.

“Pippin” is an unforgettable musical production that inspires us all to discover the magic of life that we hold within ourselves!” explained Randi Conti, the Playhouse’s Executive Director. “Through their sponsorship, the financial support Rondout Savings Bank provided has helped us deliver this extraordinary musical tale to local residents and visitors. We are very grateful to Rondout and Jim Davenport, the bank’s President and CEO.”

Douglas Farrell, the Manager of the Woodstock Playhouse, mentioned that he sees “Pippin” as the musical that represents the “Pure Spirit of the Hudson Valley.” In the lyrics of the song ‘Corner of the Sky’ you’ll find the words: “Rivers belong where they can ramble, Eagles belong where they can fly;” to Farrell, these words reflect the Woodstock Playhouse and its ability to spread its wings in a region that is so right and so supportive.

“It is wonderful that so many concerned citizens have recognized the importance of supporting the Woodstock Playhouse. Rondout Savings Bank values the local art community and particularly important iconic venues like the Woodstock Playhouse,” stated Davenport.

The Woodstock Playhouse is a vibrant venue featuring a wide range of productions, festivals and events established for the gathering of Woodstockers and visitors to its internationally recognized home of Art, Theatre, Music, celebrated small town hospitality, and a tapestry of innovative thinkers.
