Rondout Savings Bank’s 150 Ways of Giving works with The Kingston Police Benevolent Association to benefit Family Inn
December 21, 2018
In celebration of a century and a half of philanthropy and service, Rondout Savings Bank is marking their 150-year celebration with a Calendar of Giving program. A different non-profit organization is featured each month, fostering community engagement and financial support. In each of the bank’s locations, donation dropoffs are featured in the lobbies keeping the spirit of philanthropy alive throughout the year. This momentous year included many events recognizing and thanking the community.
For the month of December, Rondout Savings Bank’s 7 locations collected new unwrapped toys for the area’s children and delivered them before Christmas. The Kingston Police Benevolent Association referred the donations to The Family Inn, part of Family of Woodstock, whose mission is to provide confidential and fully accessible crisis intervention, information, prevention, and support services to address the needs of individuals and families. The scope of the agency’s vision allows them to bring to bear resources to address a broad spectrum of human problems.
In early December, the bank dropped off the toys to Ricki T. Abramson, Program Director of Family Inn and Caitlin Welch, Assistant Program Director of the Family Inn. The Bank was able to collect 117 great toys, with the Broadway branch collecting the most at 41 toys! Thank you to our generous clients and employees.
