United Way Day of Caring
September 13, 2017
Rondout Savings Bank once again was a sponsor of this year’s Day of Caring and sent in a team of enthusiastic volunteers to help where needed. Organized by the United Way of Ulster County, the Day of Caring community service opportunity is open to individuals and teams of volunteers. In Ulster County, participants help local non-profit agencies by stocking food pantries, delivering flowers, painting, gardening, doing light repair or small building projects. Volunteers work for 3-4 hours in the morning, followed by a festive picnic at Ulster Park on the banks of the Hudson River. Volunteers get a first-hand look at the services provided by some of the non-profit organizations assisted by the Ulster United Way.
