With nearly fifteen years of lending and banking experience, serving in various capacities such as Branch Manager, Commercial Lender, Area Sales Leader, and Residential Mortgage Loan Officer, Thomas Scott provides the communities and neighborhoods of the Hudson Valley with experienced market insight and a strong understanding of the home lending industry.

Thomas studied history and philosophy at Siena College, where he earned his BA.  From there, he began his career in residential mortgage lending.  His time in the industry has allowed him the opportunity to work for a wide range of financial institutions, from local savings banks and credit unions to the mortgage subsidiaries of nationally recognized real estate brands.  Thomas has experience building home loan teams, training and educating loan officers new to the industry, assisting them with the licensing process, and helping them to become established, highly knowledgeable lenders.

Born and raised in the Hudson Valley, Thomas has a passion for the area and the people that call these communities home.  Thomas has spent time coaching in the Saugerties Little League and its Youth Basketball program.  He has served as VP of the Hyde Park Chamber of Commerce, Loaned Executive for the United Way of Dutchess & Orange Counties, Elder at Family of Hope Church in Saugerties, and has spent time as a volunteer for RUPCO,  teaching the required mortgage course for those participating in RUPCO’s first-time homebuyer grant program.

Thomas resides in Saugerties with his wife and four children.  His hobbies include fitness, writing, playing music, and spending time with his family.
